Bringing style to the IKEA Antilop Highchair
We spend a huge part of our family lives in our kitchens and if you’re like us, an equally huge amount of time (and money) finding and choosing the perfect kitchen cabinets, worktops, lighting and accessories for this important family room to make it as stylish and practical as possible. And whilst the IKEA Antilop highchair is a brilliant bit of Swedish design and immensely practical (wipeable, easy to assemble and can be packed up and transported relatively easily), let’s be honest, it’s not the most beautiful. Our products are designed to complement your home interior and bring style to the IKEA highchair as well as your weaning journey generally.
The Design Process
We design all of our cushion covers in-house and select all our products with an interior design focus. We painstakingly comb interiors for inspiration for each of our prints and colours which are clean and muted, non-gender specific and not seasonal. Each of our designs are intended to complement your home interior and therefore we don’t use prints targeted for children like dinosaurs, robots or fairies.
The Prints
One of our original designs, the Dalmatian print (a beautiful cream and black spot design) has been a best seller from the very start and has been the inspiration behind many of our more recent designs, including Elderflower, Cactus, Pink Champagne and Moonlight Dalmatian. Our Jungle Safari design gave birth to Midnight Safari and we have also developed a number of our other favourites like Easy Peeler using our creative method. Practicality is a key concept though too, so as well as being beautiful designs, the cushion covers and splash mats are wipeable and printed on cotton to ensure a soft, natural material.
UK Made
In terms of process, once we have selected our designs they are then developed on photoshop before being sent to be printed and coated and sewn in Lancashire. Samples are then photographed and uploaded to our website to gauge the expected level of interest, before a complete order is processed. The overall inspiration to manufacturing and sale process usually takes three to four months.
