Which are the best cushions for vintage Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchairs?
The beautifully crafted Stokke Tripp Trapp highchairs are designed to last through generations, so you can imagine my delight when I was driving through the Essex Countryside and came across not one, but two lovingly used Vintage Stokke highchairs at the side of the road, with the note "please take!"
This great haul was back in 2020, when I had only been designing cushions predominantly for the Ikea Antilop Highchair. I knew that there was great scope for the cove baby insert, so rather than coming up with an entirely new shape for the Stokke highchair, instead I tucked the sides of the cove baby insert into the cover and there I had it, a perfect fitting, padded cushion for my new Stokke Tripp Trapps!
Years passed and although the Cove Baby Core Cushions were widely used for the Stokke Highchairs, I wanted to create some designs which were more specific and properly fitted to the Stokke. A cushion which can be used with the older, vintage Stokke models and the newest highchair models. A cushion which can be used with the baby set and also when the Stokke highchair is used for older children at the dining room table.
Let me introduce you to The Cove Baby cushions for the Stokke Tripp Trapp. Which are so simple to use with all models (new and old!) Stokke Tripp Trapp highchairs. Here is a video to help show you how to put the cushion on.
If you do happen to be luckily enough to have been passed down a beautiful old Stokke Tripp Trapp and you don't have the baby insert, you can simply fold the cushion over the back slat and velcro it down, using the back velcro on the cove baby cushion. This is also how we recommend using the cushion when your child is using the chair when they're older at the dining room table.
